With still no major growth in total PC shipments since 2011, this year is not looking hopeful for the flagging industry: our algorithms predict a decline of 0.7% in 2019.

Still, not all bad news. Market shares of the top 5 OEMs – Acer, Apple, Dell, HP, and Lenovo – are predicted to slightly increase in 2019 at the cost to market share of “others”, which will drop by 4.9%.

Market leaders Lenovo and HP, are expected to garner 23.3% and 23.1% of the pie in 2019 followed by Dell (17.2%), Apple (7.2%) and Acer (7.1%).

The outlook for 2020 is not too rosy for the OEMs: our algorithms predict no growth in PC shipments.
